Armtec Defense Technologies designs and manufactures combustible ordnance, infrared decoy flares, radar countermeasure chaff, and other pyrotechnic devices for the U.S. Department of Defense and allied nations. The company operates three dedicated production facilities across the United States: combustible ordnance is produced in Coachella, California; infrared decoy flares in East Camden, Arkansas; and radar countermeasure chaff in Lillington, North Carolina. Armtec is an operating unit of TransDigm Group and holds ISO 9001:2015 certification.
The company's workforce spans scientists, engineers, and operators, with a stated culture built on open communication, trust, and teamwork. Safety, quality, and environmental responsibility are central to its operating principles. Armtec describes its product line as the largest and most varied in the combustible ordnance and expendable countermeasure industries.
For veterans considering a transition into defense manufacturing, Armtec's mission is directly aligned with military operational readiness. Its work - producing the decoy flares, radar chaff, and ordnance used by U.S. and allied forces - sits at the intersection of technical manufacturing and national security. The disciplined, safety-first environment and team-oriented culture reflect operational values familiar to those with military backgrounds.
