Betacom is a telecommunications company founded in 1991 and headquartered in Bellevue, Washington. It plans, designs, builds and operates secure private 5G networks for enterprise clients, working across manufacturing, logistics, airports and telecommunications. The firm employs approximately 320 people and serves customers in North America, Europe and Africa.
Its principal offering is Betacom 5G-as-a-Service (5GaaS), described as the industry's first fully managed private wireless service. Under the model, Betacom takes responsibility for the network end-to-end, allowing clients to deploy low-latency private 5G without building or running their own infrastructure. The company also delivers private/public hybrid 5G networks and managed network services.
Security and operations are central to the work. Betacom AirGap Protection, developed with strategic partners, secures private wireless networks, while a Security and Service Operations Center (SSOC) uses AI and machine learning to monitor client networks proactively. The company works with partners including UScellular, Siemens Industries, Google Cloud and Ingram Micro. Roles span wireless infrastructure, network security, network operations and engineering disciplines, with more than three decades of industry experience behind the organisation.
