Fairview Health Services is a nonprofit healthcare system serving Minnesota, employing more than 34,000 people across a network that spans hospitals and medical centers, clinics, senior care, home health and hospice, pharmacy, counseling and benefit management. The organisation supports thousands of providers and affiliates statewide and treats more than 2.1 million patients a year, making it one of the larger employers in the region and offering roles well beyond direct patient care, including operations, facilities, logistics, administration and community-facing services.
Its acute-care footprint comprises 10 community and academic hospitals and medical centers, complemented by primary and specialty care clinics covering more than 100 specialties. Further services include senior living and senior housing, rehabilitation centres, home care and hospice, in-network pharmacies, behavioural health counselling and benefit management - a breadth of settings that corresponds to a similarly broad range of job families and career paths.
Through M Health Fairview, a partnership with the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians, the system combines community-based care with academic medicine, supporting hundreds of active research studies, clinical innovation, medical education and the training of future physicians. Stated organisational priorities include clinical quality improvement, health equity, accessible care, workforce development and community partnerships.
