FCC Environmental Services provides waste collection, recycling and sustainability solutions to municipalities and commercial and industrial customers across seven U.S. states. The company employs more than 2,000 people and operates a fleet of over 1,200 vehicles, serving more than 14 million Americans. It is part of the global FCC Group, which ranks among the world's Top 15 environmental services companies, and draws on over 100 years of industry expertise.
Operations are organised around four service lines. Municipal Services covers waste collection and environmental services for local governments; Commercial and Industrial Services provides collection, recycling and sustainability programmes for business customers. Recycling Services processes collected material at facilities across the United States, recycling more than 500,000 tons a year. Waste-to-Energy solutions use advanced facilities to convert non-recyclable waste into renewable energy and reusable raw materials.
The work is operational and community-facing. Field teams run daily collection routes, manage fleet assets and maintain service standards in the towns and cities where the company operates; more than half of the fleet runs on cleaner-burning CNG fuel. Roles are spread across the seven states in which the company is active.
FCC Environmental Services states that corporate responsibility is driven by senior management and describes its mission as "working responsibly today for a better environment tomorrow", with an emphasis on supporting the communities in which it operates.
