We’re hiring a Security Guard (Mid-Career) to monitor assigned premises and CCTV, control access, and patrol interior/exterior areas to help deter incidents and ensure compliance with site rules. You’ll respond to alarms and disturbances, document activity clearly, and coordinate with emergency services when needed.
Responsibilities
- Monitor premises activity and CCTV to deter theft, violence, and rule violations
- Control access by checking and authorizing entry/exit for employees, visitors, and other persons
- Patrol assigned interior and exterior areas, verifying doors, windows, and gates are secure and watching for signs of intrusion
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances according to site procedures, escalating appropriately
- Write and submit clear incident and daily activity reports documenting irregularities, damage, theft, and unauthorized persons
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- 6–24 months of relevant security or monitoring experience preferred; on-the-job training provided, with state guard registration where required
- Ability to monitor CCTV and premises activity to deter theft, violence, and rule violations
- Ability to control access by checking/authorizing entry and exit of employees, visitors, and other persons
- Ability to patrol assigned interior/exterior areas and verify doors, windows, and gates are secure
- Ability to respond to alarms and investigate disturbances following site procedures
- Ability to write clear incident and daily activity reports documenting irregularities, damage, theft, and unauthorized persons
Nice to Have
- Provide basic first aid and contact paramedics/medical response when needed
- Experience using two-way radios and multi-line phone systems for communication and dispatch
- Experience operating security alarm and surveillance systems to identify and escalate events
- Experience maintaining accurate logs and documentation using Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to de-escalate and remove/evict unarmed violators from the premises as needed
