Halliburton

In 1919, Erle P. Halliburton, an innovative engineer, recognized a critical gap in the oil industry: the need for more reliable and effective methods to seal oil wells. Working in Duncan, Oklahoma, he developed improved cementing techniques that would revolutionize well completion. This realization led to the founding of Halliburton Oil Well Cementing Company, marking the beginning of a century-long journey that would transform the global energy landscape. What started as a single engineer's vision grew into one of the world's largest providers of products and services to the energy industry. Over the past century, Halliburton has evolved from its cementing roots into a comprehensive energy services leader, offering solutions across the entire reservoir lifecycle. The company now delivers advanced products and services in subsurface exploration, well construction, completions, and intelligent production systems. With approximately 40,000 to 50,000 employees operating globally, Halliburton continues to drive innovation in oilfield technology, from artificial intelligence and real-time data analysis to sustainable drilling practices. The company remains committed to maximizing resource value while minimizing environmental impact, ensuring that Erle Halliburton's legacy of engineering excellence continues to power the world's energy needs.
