Liberty Tire Recycling collects and processes end-of-life tires across North America, operating over 50 collection and processing facilities coast-to-coast in the United States and Canada. The company processes more than 215 million tires annually, reclaiming over 4.7 billion pounds of rubber per year. Founded in 2000, it employs more than 3,500 professionals.
The company extracts value from every component of a tire. Reclaimed rubber is processed into crumb rubber for asphalt modifications and playground surfaces, while steel wire and fiber are recycled into products for infrastructure and industry. Liberty Tire also produces tire-derived fuel and landscaping materials, converting waste into inputs for construction, manufacturing, and consumer applications.
The operation reflects a circular-economy approach to materials management. Liberty Tire established a Zero Waste Goal and became the first company in its field to publish a sustainability report, positioning environmental stewardship alongside operational scale.
