Mary Free Bed is a non-profit rehabilitation system based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Founded in 1891, it provides specialized physical medicine and rehabilitation services through a network that extends to more than three dozen acute-care hospitals across Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Virginia, and West Virginia.
The organization employs 300 physicians and advanced practice providers, along with two dozen psychologists. Its main hospital contains 167 beds, and it offers more than 100 specialized rehabilitation programs. Services encompass comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, home health through Mary Free Bed at Home, pediatric rehabilitation via Mary Free Bed Kids, and orthotics and prosthetics. It also provides national consulting through the Mary Free Bed Advisory Group and supports patient recovery through the Mary Free Bed Foundation.
