General Position Overview:
This position is primarily responsible for the Safety, Health and Compliance of MRS employees and facility operations. Additionally, will implement direct and validate compliance to policy and SOP at MRS locations. The position is also responsible for assisting with the development of an effective working relationship between warehouse, office and management as well as the customers and others who encounter all areas and operations of the company.

General Accountabilities:
- Safety culture and compliance: Follow all personal safety, food safety, and food defense training, policies, and procedures; promote a safety-focused culture; and ensure compliance with MRS policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Training and hazard prevention: Train staff on standard operating procedures (SOPs), food safety requirements, workplace hazard prevention, and forklift certification requirements.
- Incident management and recordkeeping: Investigate workplace accidents and near misses, implement corrective actions, and maintain workers’ compensation files, training records, and the OSHA 300 log.
- Food safety and sanitation: Maintain facility cleanliness and sanitation standards while overseeing HACCP, allergen control, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), pest control, temperature calibration, and employee hygiene practices.
- Employee, vendor, and contractor relations: Treat employees fairly and professionally, and build positive working relationships with vendors, contractors, third-party service providers, and maintenance providers.
- Equipment and operational standards: Monitor machinery use, equipment condition, benchmarking standards, and overall operational performance.
- Audits and cross-functional support: Lead and support visits from government officials, third-party auditors, and insurance partners; collaborate with other business units and align warehouse activities with cross-departmental training, meetings, customer sessions, and industry seminars.
- Facility support: Travel to multiple facilities as needed.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Education:Bachelor’s degree in safety management, OSH or EHS, preferred
- Technical Skills:
- Strong background in Safety Management
- Experience with multi-site oversight
- Prior experience managing teams in a warehouse environment
- Food handling experience
- Soft Skills:
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Communicate professionally with employees, vendors, auditors, and all levels of management.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong time management skills in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Work effectively in a variety of warehouse environments.
Prerequisites:
Work is performed primarily in a standardoffice environmentusing alaptop, keyboard,and monitor. Employees mustwear all required safety equipment when visiting warehouse facility locations.
