Morgan Truck Body manufactures light- and medium-duty truck and van bodies for the North American market. Founded in 1952 in Morgantown, Pennsylvania, as a small welding shop, the company has grown over more than 70 years into the largest American producer of Class 3 to Class 7 dry freight and refrigerated truck bodies. Its products serve dry freight delivery, refrigerated transportation, landscaping, construction and municipal services.
Three product lines define the range. Gold Star covers dry freight truck bodies for delivery applications; Cold Star covers refrigerated transport bodies; and ProStake covers platform and dump bodies. Manufacturing work spans commercial vehicle body design, welding and metal fabrication, and engineering specific to dry freight, refrigerated and platform/dump bodies.
The company was acquired by John Poindexter in 1990 and operates as a subsidiary of J.B. Poindexter & Co., Inc. It maintains a presence across North America. Internally, Morgan Truck Body describes a culture built on quality craftsmanship, innovation in commercial vehicle body design, and responsiveness to the differing requirements of individual customer vocations.
