Rincon Research Corporation designs, develops and deploys advanced digital signal processing (DSP) systems for the United States Defense and Intelligence communities, serving government customers worldwide. Founded in 1983 and now employing between 250 and 500 people, the company grew organically from a small research firm into an employee-owned organization of scientists, engineers and programmers. Its work supports national security, counter-terrorism and the safeguarding of national resources.
The company's technical scope spans end-to-end signals collection, analysis and processing, GPS geolocation applications, orbit analysis, high-performance computing and high-speed electronics development. Systems engineering runs from concept through to operation, with an emphasis on rapid technology development for mission-critical government programmes. Sectors served include defence, intelligence and space; the company has worked on NASA-related programmes, including the Space Network Ground Segment Sustainment effort.
Rincon Research Corporation operates from multiple locations in the United States and has been recognised for its work with government agencies, receiving NASA Goddard Space Flight Center's 2013 Small Business Subcontractor of the Year award. As an employee-owned firm, ownership is shared among the staff.
