This position offers the opportunity to help maintain a safe, welcoming, and secure atmosphere for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct foot and vehicle patrols throughout campus grounds and buildings.
- Monitor campus activity and identify potential security or safety concerns.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and requests for assistance.
- Control access to facilities and verify credentials as needed.
- Complete detailed incident, activity, and daily reports.
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional security presence.
- Enforce site policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Assist with emergency response procedures and campus events as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Minimum of 6 months of security experience required.
- Campus security experience preferred, but not required.
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification required.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Must be reliable, professional, and willing to commute to Poughkeepsie, NY.
