TDA Research is an independent research and development company founded in 1987 that develops commercial products and technologies across defence, aerospace, medical, materials, energy, and chemical sectors. The company operates two facilities in Golden, Colorado, spanning over 78,000 square feet of research and pilot-plant production space equipped with 33 laboratory hoods and specialised capabilities for wet lab chemistry, mechanical and electrical work, sorbent and catalyst manufacturing, prototyping, and 3D printing.
The company employs more than 120 technical professionals, including over 30 PhDs in engineering and chemistry. This depth of expertise supports the full development cycle from concept through commercialisation, including bench-top laboratory work, fabrication, materials development, and pilot-plant production. TDA Research operates as a federal contractor and pursues commercialisation through direct sales, distribution agreements, spin-off companies, and licensing arrangements.
