Anakeesta is a mountaintop adventure and theme park in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, situated roughly 600 feet above downtown on more than 90 acres in the Great Smoky Mountains region. Opened in September 2017, the park combines family attractions, dining, retail, and seasonal and nighttime experiences, and is described as an award-winning attraction. Its operations rest on a range of engineered systems, among them gondola and chairlift transport, two mountain coasters, a zipline course, treetop skywalk structures, scenic tower construction, and nighttime illuminated attractions.
The attraction roster includes the Gondola and Chairlift, AnaVista Tower, Treetop Skywalk, a zipline course, gem mining, BirdVenture, a splash pad, and Vista Gardens, alongside on-site restaurants, retail stores, and seasonal programming. A $100m five-year capital programme, titled Making More Magic, covers planned and developing additions: Astra Lumina, a year-round firefly experience, a glass-bottom lift, and expanded treetop adventure offerings.
The company states a long-term commitment to innovation, regional employment, tourism, and the Gatlinburg economy, together with preserving the character and natural setting of the Smokies. Benefits listed for full-time employees include paid time off; health, dental, vision, and life insurance; professional-development assistance; free parking and free admission; and employee discounts.
