Bon Secours Mercy Health is one of the largest Catholic health care systems in the United States, formed in 2018. The organization operates 47 hospitals and more than 1,200 sites of care across the United States, Ireland, and several other countries, including Haiti, Peru, South Sudan, and the Philippines. Its annual revenue stands at approximately $14 billion, and it partners with some 21,000 health care providers to serve millions of patients each year.
The system employs nearly 60,000 associates and traces its heritage to religious congregations - the Sisters of Bon Secours, the Sisters of Mercy, and the Sisters of the Humility of Mary - established over 150 years ago to serve the poor, dying, and underserved. This mission-driven focus on improving health and well-being, particularly for vulnerable populations, shapes the organization's clinical and community work. A Global Ministries initiative extends its healing mission internationally.
