Goodwin University

Goodwin University is a nonprofit, NECHE-accredited institution in East Hartford, Connecticut, founded in 1999 and known as Goodwin College until its transition to university status in 2020. It provides career-focused certificate, associate, bachelor's and master's programmes to a diverse student population, including fully online graduate programmes. The university positions itself as an anchor institution in Greater Hartford and works through partnerships with employers, public agencies and community organisations, with a stated focus on addressing workforce gaps in healthcare and advanced manufacturing. Its academic structure spans three schools: the School of Nursing and Health Professions, whose registered nursing programme launched in 2003 and has since graduated more than 2,200 nursing students; the School of Business, Technology, and Advanced Manufacturing, covering business and management alongside advanced manufacturing curricula; and the School of Applied Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, covering social and educational studies.
