Lake Region Healthcare is an independent, community-owned and governed nonprofit healthcare organization headquartered in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. It operates a network of hospitals and clinics serving the region with primary care, specialty services, emergency care, and women's and children's services. The organisation employs more than 1,100 people and has a medical staff of over 100.
Emergency and trauma capability is a central part of its operations. The Fergus Falls hospital is designated a Level III trauma center by the Minnesota State Trauma System, and the organisation provides continuous surgery, orthopedics, and anesthesia coverage. Its work in emergency response, incident handling, and coordination under pressure draws on disciplines familiar to those with backgrounds in uniformed service.
The wider service portfolio spans cancer care, spiritual care, and other programs delivered close to home for the Minnesota region it serves. The LRH Foundation channels community generosity into equipment, technology, and patient resources that support the organisation's mission, alongside a stated focus on patient-centered care and long-term community health.
Lake Region Healthcare has been named among the Top 100 Rural and Community Hospitals in the United States by The Chartis Center for Rural Health.
