LSB Industries manufactures and sells nitrogen-based chemical products from three U.S. manufacturing sites, in Cherokee, Alabama, El Dorado, Arkansas and Pryor, Oklahoma. The company employs approximately 600 people and serves customers in agriculture, industrial chemicals and mining.
Its output falls into two broad categories. Fertilizer products support crop production for agricultural customers. The industrial line comprises ammonia, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, mixed acids and ammonium nitrate solutions. The company is also developing low- and no-carbon initiatives, including blue ammonia and carbon capture projects.
Technical work at the plants spans nitrogen-based chemical manufacturing, ammonia and acid production, process safety and sustainable manufacturing.
