Orla Mining Ltd was a gold mining company engaged in the exploration, development and operation of gold properties across North America, with headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia. Its activities spanned mineral exploration, mine development and mine operations, and the company created value through the acquisition, advancement and optimisation of precious metals projects in Canada, the United States, Mexico and Nicaragua.
The company's principal asset was the Musselwhite Mine, a gold-producing operation in Northwestern Ontario, Canada, in production since 1997 and the source of more than six million ounces of gold. Musselwhite formed part of a portfolio of gold assets worked by teams in mine development and mine operations.
On July 31st 2026 Orla Mining completed a merger with Equinox Gold Corp. The combined company has annual gold production of approximately 1.1m ounces, with over 60% of that output coming from three long-life mines in Canada. A growth project pipeline is expected to add over 800,000 ounces of production.
