Port Madison Enterprises (PME) is the business arm of the Suquamish Tribal government, established in 1987 by the Suquamish Tribe. Its purpose is to generate sustainable revenue, employment and community resources for the Tribe, funding Tribal services, cultural programmes and community development. The organisation operates from the Suquamish Tribal community area in Port Madison, Washington.
PME runs a diversified portfolio of commercial enterprises. Its largest property is the Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort, which combines gaming, lodging, dining, meetings, weddings and cultural experiences. The portfolio also includes Kiana Lodge, White Horse Golf Club, PME Retail, Clearwater Market and a property management operation. Wholly owned subsidiaries extend the group into heavy civil construction and project management, and into cannabis processing and retail through Suquamish Evergreen Corporation.
The breadth of these operations spans casino gaming, hospitality and lodging, food and dining, events, golf and recreation, retail, property management, construction and cannabis processing. Roles therefore range across operational, technical and management disciplines in both service and industrial settings, including project management and heavy civil work.
PME describes its mission as economic self-determination and financial independence for the Suquamish Tribe, with a focus on long-term economic independence and a stronger future for the Tribal community. The organisation states that it provides employment and training opportunities, is committed to preserving cultural initiatives, and offers cultural experiences through its properties.
