UVA Health is an integrated academic health system based in Virginia, affiliated with the University of Virginia. The system operates a major academic medical center alongside three community hospitals, a specialty rehabilitation hospital, two physician groups, and a network of primary and specialty care clinics. Its facilities house more than 1,000 inpatient beds, handle approximately 40,000 inpatient stays annually, and record over one million outpatient encounters each year.
The system is recognized for several high-acuity services. Its children's hospital, UVA Health Children's, is ranked as the top pediatric hospital in Virginia.
