White Oak Conservation is a 17,000-acre wildlife conservation center based in Yulee, Florida, with additional operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Indonesia. Founded in 1982, the organisation is dedicated to saving and recovering populations of rare and endangered species through breeding programmes, veterinary care, and holistic management. It is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).
The centre manages genetically diverse populations of over 30 species of imperiled wildlife in large, naturalistic habitats, including 600 acres of dedicated habitat area. Its technical domains span conservation breeding, veterinary care, holistic animal management, and genetic population management. As part of its conservation work, White Oak has released over 100 cranes into the wild.
White Oak also operates education and training programmes, including internships and residency programmes in veterinary science, mid-size carnivore management, and ungulate management. The organisation focuses on sustainable populations, expanding education, and responsible land stewardship, fostering the next generation of conservationists.
