The Buck Institute is an independent biomedical research institute founded in 1999 and located in Novato, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is the largest independent scientific institute in the Bay Area. The institute's sole mission is to understand the biology of aging and develop interventions to extend human healthspan.
