About

ELLWOOD is a vertically integrated supplier of quality metals and custom-engineered components for critical applications worldwide. Founded in 1910 in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, the company remains family-owned and privately held, with all common stock held by approximately 35 family members. This ownership structure has permitted the company to operate independently of short-term pressures whilst focusing on long-term value creation, product quality, and customer service.

The company operates through ten autonomous divisions across 25 manufacturing locations in North America. ELLWOOD's capabilities span the full metals supply chain: steelmaking, forging, machining, ring rolling, aluminum and iron casting, cladding, fabrication, and distribution. This vertical integration allows the company to deliver finished machined and coated products ready for assembly, alongside raw materials and custom-engineered components tailored to customer specifications.

ELLWOOD serves customers across aerospace, automotive, defense, oil and gas, power generation, mining, construction, marine, tooling, semiconductor, and transportation infrastructure sectors. The company has grown through innovation and strategic acquisition over more than a century of operation, maintaining leadership in its markets whilst preserving family governance and autonomous division management.
