Events DC is the official convention and sports authority for Washington, DC. The organisation's core function is to host conventions, sports, entertainment, and cultural events to generate economic impact for the District of Columbia.
The entity manages a portfolio of significant venues across the city. These include the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, a world-class facility that holds LEED Platinum certification, and the newly opened CareFirst Arena. Other managed properties are the RFK Stadium and Campus, the historic DC Armory, and the Carnegie Library at Mt. Vernon Square.
