The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA) is an independent public authority of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Its mandate is to generate regional economic activity by attracting conventions, tradeshows, and other events through the ownership and oversight of convention facilities.
The MCCA's portfolio includes several major venues. In Boston, it operates the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC), the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center, and the Thomas M. Menino Convention & Exhibition Center (MCEC). It also manages the MassMutual Center in Springfield and the outdoor event space Lawn on D.
