Lenape Valley Foundation (LVF) is a private, not-for-profit provider of behavioural health care founded in 1958, originally as the Mental Health Guidance Center of Bucks County. It works with community members facing mental health, substance use and intellectual or developmental challenges, delivering crisis services, mental health treatment, substance use services, intellectual disability support and early intervention programmes. Its main facility sits on the campus of Doylestown Hospital in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, and it serves Bucks County and Montgomery County.
LVF operates the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline in Bucks County and provides crisis stabilisation as part of its crisis services. The foundation is currently developing the Bright Path Center, a behavioural health crisis stabilisation centre that will bring a range of crisis services under one roof; it is due to open in 2026.
The organisation describes its approach as trauma-informed, with individualised, culturally sensitive and compassionate care delivered through partnership with the people it serves, aiming at wellness, recovery and healing. Over more than 65 years it has served thousands of children, adults and families, and has received recognitions for excellence in behavioural healthcare delivery.
