Lifesteps is an independent, nonprofit human services agency founded in 1923. Locally managed and governed by a community Board of Directors, the organization's mission is to improve quality of life and help those with special needs live to their fullest potential.
The agency provides a range of programs across multiple stages of life. These include child care, services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, employment assistance, and senior care. Lifesteps operates from more than 64 locations across Western Pennsylvania, including Butler, Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Indiana, and Washington counties.
Lifesteps assists individuals and families in achieving independent goals. The organization's work spans several industry verticals including human services, disability services, and employment services, reflecting its comprehensive approach to community support.
