About

Springwell is an independent non-profit organization founded in 1977 and designated by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as an Area Agency on Aging. It serves older adults, individuals with disabilities, and their caregivers across 22 towns in the greater Boston area, including Waltham, Newton, Framingham, Brookline, and surrounding communities. Its mission centers on helping people maintain independence and dignity while living at home.

The organization delivers a broad range of services, including:

  • In-home care
  • Home-delivered meals
  • Community dining programs
  • Care management
  • Caregiver support
  • Protective services for elders at risk of abuse
  • Information and referral services

Springwell works in close collaboration with healthcare providers, Councils on Aging, and other community partners. Its person-centered approach and advocacy role reflect its formal designation within the Massachusetts aging services network, where it functions as a regional hub coordinating care and resources for vulnerable populations.
