UNC Dairy, formally known as Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc., is an American dairy cooperative owned by over 200 dairy farming families. Founded in 1965, the cooperative produces a range of dairy products including fluid milk, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, sour cream, chip dips, ice cream mixes, and specialty beverages. Its operations span multiple locations in New York and Pennsylvania, including Buffalo, West Seneca, Batavia, Syracuse, North Lawrence, and Williamsport.
As a farmer- and employee-led cooperative, UNC Dairy emphasizes quality, sustainability, and community. The cooperative maintains an rBST-free milk supply and is committed to sustainable farming practices and animal welfare. It is a member of the NMPF Animal Health & Well-Being Committee and participates in the Farmers Assuring Responsible Management (FARM) program.
