Farmers Cooperative Society is a member-owned agricultural cooperative founded in 1907 and serving farmers across Northwest Iowa and South Dakota. Operating from ten locations, the organisation employs over 250 people and stands as one of the largest feed manufacturers in the region. The cooperative recently opened the Union Grove facility near Beresford, South Dakota in 2023 and launched Member's Cut, a premium butchery operation, in 2025.
The cooperative operates four main divisions. Its Feed division manufactures and supplies animal feed, whilst the Agronomy division provides crop inputs including fertilizers and crop protection products. The Grain division handles storage and logistics, and the How-To Building Center offers retail building supplies. Beyond these core operations, Farmers Cooperative Society delivers swine management services through its PROVEN programme, supporting livestock producers across the region.
As a member-owned structure, the cooperative focuses on delivering sustainable agricultural solutions and value to its customers whilst maintaining deep roots in the rural communities it serves. The organisation is committed to partnering with producers, employees, and communities across Northwest Iowa and South Dakota.
