Concordance is a nonprofit organisation founded in 2015 that provides comprehensive, evidence-based re-entry services to individuals returning to the community after incarceration. Based in St. Louis, the organisation operates within the criminal justice re-entry and social services sectors, employing a trauma-informed and holistic care model. Its integrated programme delivers 12 individualised services spanning three core areas: Behavioral Health and Wellness, Education and Employment, and Community and Life Skills.
The Concordance Re-entry Program is designed to address the multifaceted challenges faced by formerly incarcerated individuals. According to the organisation, participants are 50% less likely to return to prison within the first six months after release compared to those who do not participate. Since 2016, nearly 2,800 individuals have enrolled in the programme.
For those with backgrounds in law enforcement, corrections, or related fields, Concordance offers an opportunity to apply firsthand knowledge of the criminal justice system in a mission-driven setting focused on reducing reincarceration. The organisation's evidence-based approach draws on structured methodologies to support lasting behavioural change and community reintegration.
