HopeHealth is a Federally-Qualified Health Center (FQHC) founded in 1991. The organization provides comprehensive, integrated health services to underserved populations, serving nearly 85,000 patients across several counties in South Carolina, including Florence, Clarendon, Aiken, Orangeburg, and Williamsburg counties. Its workforce comprises over 100 providers and more than 700 healthcare professionals.
The center operates as a patient-centered medical home with a multi-disciplinary team approach. Services encompass a broad scope of care: primary care, dental, behavioral health and psychiatry, substance use treatment, pharmacy services, chiropractic care, pain management, and specialty services in endocrinology, rheumatology, and women's health. HopeHealth serves patients regardless of ability to pay, with a focus on preventing and detecting illness and promoting healthy lifestyles.
As an FQHC, HopeHealth is part of a national network of community-based health centers that receive federal funding to provide primary care services in underserved areas. The organization also addresses infectious diseases treatment and prevention as part of its community health mission.
