Mental Health Resource Center, Inc. (MHRC) is a Florida nonprofit corporation delivering behavioral health and social services. Founded in May 1977, the organisation operates emergency, inpatient psychiatric and outpatient services, alongside programmes that sit at the intersection of behavioural health and the criminal-justice system. These include forensic services, in-jail services and a co-responder programme that pairs behavioural health response with emergency response, together with state hospital liaison services.
Clinical provision spans 24-hour emergency services, inpatient psychiatric care for children, adolescents and adults, and outpatient psychiatric evaluations, medication management and counselling. MHRC also runs psychosocial rehabilitation, a therapeutic family programme and eight Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) programmes for adults with severe and persistent mental illness, spread across seven Florida cities: Jacksonville, Clearwater, Gainesville, Kissimmee, Rockledge, Tampa and Winter Haven.
The organisation is accredited by The Joint Commission and states that integrity, compassion and excellence guide its decisions and actions. Administrative support - covering administration, finance, accounting, human resources, IT and quality improvement - is centralised through Renaissance Behavioral Health Systems. MHRC has provided services for nearly five decades.
