Pictsweet Farms is the brand name of the Pictsweet Company, a frozen vegetable business founded in 1945 in Bells, Tennessee. The firm grows, processes and distributes frozen vegetables, and has been owned and run by the Tankersley family since its founding; it is now in its fourth generation of family management. All of its vegetables are grown on American soil.
The company operates four manufacturing and distribution facilities, in Bells, Tennessee; Ogden, Utah; Monte Alto, Texas; and Bridgeville, Delaware. Its products reach most major supermarkets and grocery stores across 32 states. Operations span vegetable cultivation and seed selection, quick-freezing and frozen food processing, cold-chain distribution and agricultural supply-chain management, with quality control applied at each step from seed selection through harvest and freezing.
The product line comprises individually frozen single-variety vegetables, harvested at peak ripeness and quick-frozen within hours, alongside mixed vegetable blends, pre-seasoned vegetables for roasting and steam-in-bag options. The company maintains long-term relationships with family farms, some of which have supplied it for generations, and describes its approach as combining agricultural heritage with the requirements of modern consumers.
